NITRO PROJECT
Project Overview
Researcher at the Columbia Engineering Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab. I’m working on the NITRO program (Novel Innovations for Tissue Regeneration in Osteoarthritis), which aims to develop innovative treatments for osteoarthritis.
The NITRO program focuses on three main areas:
Injectable bone regenerates
Injectable cartilage regenerates
Replacement joints built from human cells
My contributions:
Mechanical testing of the 3D-printed scaffolds
Data analysis and collection using Arduino software and Excel
Computational modeling of the tibial insert and femur using 3D Slicer, Meshmixer, and Solidworks
Create instructions and slide decks to optimize research processes
Run Finite Element Analysis using proprietary software (FEBio)
I’m unable to share the CAD models and testing results from the research as they are highly confidential.
